Tasting notes
Versante Est exhibits enveloping aromas of melon, peach, and broom, complemented by delicate notes of almond. On the palate, it is characterized by a medium acidity that supports its structure. The body is full, almost viscous, providing a sensation of material roundness. The salinity is noticeable, enriching the tasting experience. The finish is medium-long and persistent, with a clear hint of mango, made even more complex by the presence of oak, which amplifies and rounds out the flavors.
Why we like it
The Trebbiano vineyard is the most prestigious one at Casa Lanciani. Here, the family has restored a vineyard that is over 60 years old, bringing it back to life. The result is a wine that is rich, compact, and of great elegance.
Pairings
Versante Est lends itself to a variety of gastronomic pairings. It is ideal with fish dishes, such as oven-baked sea bass or tuna carpaccio, where its fruity and savory notes enhance the freshness of the fish. It also pairs beautifully with shellfish, such as shrimp and lobster, thanks to its structure and long finish.
